Faith Families

Faith Families are a small group ministry at New Hope that provide members and friends an opportunity to get to know each other better, spend time in fellowship, share their faith, build relationships and eat meals together.  Currently, over 160 people are involved in a Faith Family group.

The friendships that develop as a result of involvement in Faith Families are the most wonderful outgrowths of this program.  In a congregation of more than 400 members, we all need others that we can connect with each week.  Faith Families give us that opportunity to bond with individuals.  It oftentimes gives us the desire to become active in the life and service of our church, too.

The way we operate during each get together varies depending on the particular Faith Family group.  In general, though, we schedule regular meeting dates (some meet weekly, others meet either semi-monthly or monthly) and spend about two hours together.  Many times we begin the meeting with prayer and a meal together.  Most groups have some kind of an icebreaker (or conversation starter), a short devotional and a faith building discussion.  Sometimes we talk about the previous sermon and how it spoke to us.  Other Faith Families might have some type of spiritual development discussions.  It is the decision of each Faith Family about whatever faith building experiences they choose.
